Purdue Students Accused of Sexual Assault Face Title IX Investigations

Purdue students who have been accused of sexual assault may face an investigation under Purdue’s harassment policy. If that happens, Purdue administrators with the Office of Institutional Equity will request that you make a written statement detailing your side of the story within a very short period of time.

Often, students’ first instinct is to comply with the request in an attempt to clear their name. However, what many students don’t know is that anything in the Purdue case can be subpoenaed by the prosecutor in a subsequent criminal case.

If you are a Purdue student who has been falsely accused of sexual assault, you need an experienced Lafayette attorney who frequently defends students in Purdue disciplinary hearings. Don’t try to fight this alone – call Gibson Law Office at 765-742-8440.
