Megan K Bolt, Attorney
Attorney Megan Bolt represents clients in defending felony and misdemeanor charges, including Operating While Intoxicated (DUI – OWI), Possession of Marijuana, Public Intoxication, Theft, and Battery. She has major felony trial experience and has won dismissal of multiple cases following a motion to suppress evidence.

Megan has worked on both sides of the criminal justice system, offering unique insight into how to attack the State’s case. In addition to her experience at Gibson Law Office, she previously served as a deputy prosecuting attorney in Madison County (Anderson) where she was responsible for a major felony caseload. Her experience includes criminal charges of rape, child molestation, child neglect, dealing and possession of drugs, battery, burglary, robbery, and firearms cases. She has handled major felony jury trials in both Madison and Hancock counties. 

University Disciplinary Hearings

Megan also represents college students in university disciplinary hearings and has experience with both Purdue and Indiana University discipline proceedings. She has represented Purdue students in student conduct conferences, Title IX cases, residence hall contract reviews, and Community Standards Board panel hearings. Megan has represented IU students in Personal Misconduct proceedings. She understands the complexity of representing students in disciplinary actions while criminal charges are pending.
