Yes. When you are charged with a crime, there is a public docket that lists the criminal charge and a summary of the court proceedings. As a result, anyone can type your name in the on-line court records and review information about your court case. Once you expunge the case, it will be removed from the on-line docket.
Expunding cases that were resolved with a diversion agreement falls under Section 1 of Indiana's expungement statute. Expunging a case under Section 1 does not prevent a person from expunging criminal convictions at a later time.
